Academic Centers Description


The Macroeconomic Policies Center is one of the key academic pillars supporting the institute in fulfilling its mission, objectives, and aspirations. The center stands out due to its distinguished academic figures who have significantly influenced Egypt’s economic landscape—whether through holding high-level executive positions in the state, producing acclaimed research and policy analyses, providing impactful consultations to policymakers and decision-makers at all levels, or training and developing human capital at both national and local levels.

 

The center primarily focuses on conducting research, advisory services, educational and training activities, and organizing academic events related to macroeconomic issues, comprehensive development planning, monetary and fiscal policies, savings, development financing, production, investment, consumption, domestic trade, population, labor force, wages, prices, subsidies, living standards, income and wealth distribution, as well as reviewing relevant draft laws and decisions. This work ultimately aims to provide innovative insights and solutions for policymakers and decision-makers.

Translating and adopting the institute’s vision, mission, and values in the center’s operations and activities.

Refining strategic objectives by aligning the center’s work with the institute’s broader goals through scientifically driven, executable programs.

Strengthening cooperation and coordination with the center’s partners, both domestically and internationally.

Arenas of Focus for the Macroeconomic Policies Center

The center’s work revolves around its vision, mission, and objectives, focusing on macro-level issues in development planning, including:

Monetary and fiscal policies, savings, and development financing.

Production, investment, consumption, and domestic trade.

Population, labor force, wages, prices, and subsidies.

Living standards, income and wealth distribution.

Reviewing draft laws and decisions related to these issues.

Ultimately, the center aims to provide innovative perspectives and solutions for policymakers and decision-makers.
