Within the framework agreement between the Institute of National Planning (INP) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Professor Ashraf El-Araby, President of the INP, received Mr. Yves Sassenrath, UNFPA Representative in Egypt, during his first visit to the INP following his appointment. The visit aimed to explore further avenues for future collaboration.

It is worth noting that, as part of this partnership, a study titled “The Economic Feasibility of Ending Unmet Need in Egypt” was launched. The study aims to highlight the necessary capacities to address the unmet need for family planning through strategic investments, focusing on the economic and social benefits of addressing this issue. It also aims to guide investments efficiently and effectively to achieve sustainable positive outcomes, increase public investment, and strengthen private sector financing partnerships—ultimately supporting a collaborative and holistic approach to advancing family planning goals.

Currently, work is also underway on a study entitled “Investment Case for Preventable Maternal Deaths in Egypt”, which is expected to be launched soon.
